What this is for
Community is product questions and answers on a published ProductFinda page. It is not a general forum, a review score, a private message channel or a place to sell. Ask what you need to know before you buy. Answer if you own it, have used it, or can give a labelled fact.
Say who you are
Your name and profile photo appear with your post. Your email stays private. Say if you own the product, have used it, or work for a brand, retailer or another interested party. “Owns it · in Vault” means you linked a ProductVault™ record. That is not a verified owner badge.
Money and reviews
Do not pay or offer perks for answers. Do not ask people to post a review or rating. Brand and retailer staff must say who they work for. ProductFinda does not remove a post because it is negative. Fake, paid or undisclosed promotion is removed.
How we moderate
Every member post is checked before it appears. An editor can reject a pending post; only an administrator can remove a published one. Both need a reason from a fixed list. We do not remove a post because it is negative about a product. If we reject or remove yours we tell you why. You can ask us to look again once; a different person decides. Anyone can report a problem, including when signed out. We act within 7 days, within 48 hours for New Zealand notices, and within 24 hours for illegal or unsafe reports. What we remove
We remove spam, harassment, personal data, unsafe advice, illegal content, copyright infringement, undisclosed promotion and posts that are not about the product. We keep an audit note with a reason. We do not hide criticism of a product. See How we moderate.
Reports and appeals
Anyone can report a problem, including when signed out. We read every report and act within 7 days, faster for anything unsafe. If we remove your post we will tell you why. You can ask us to look again once. A different person decides. See How we moderate.
Brands and retailers
A labelled representative may answer with facts, warranty and compatibility. Members of an approved organisation can show a verified “Works for …” badge. They must not pitch, disparage rivals, or use an owner badge. Official ProductFinda answers are separate and marked as such.
Under 16
You must be 16 or older to create an account or post. Community stays attached to a product page. There is no community home feed and no private messaging.
Starter questions
ProductFinda may publish a small number of starter questions on a launch page, attributed to ProductFinda, with a source note such as “Asked from review comments”. We never seed answers pretending to be owners.
Records we keep
We keep complaints for 6 years, moderation events indefinitely, and the body of a removed post for 12 months. After that we drop the removed text but keep the id, status and audit note.
