The HONOR Magic8 Pro is a large flagship, not a small phone. HONOR's China news puts sale from 23 October 2025, and a UK launch followed on 8 January 2026. HONOR lists a 6.71-inch display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Battery capacity is not one number: the global specification lists 7,100 mAh typical, the UK specification lists 6,270 mAh typical, and the global China-launch news lists 7,200 mAh typical. The review shelf includes two-month, four-month and six-month videos, so this is not only a launch-week take. Those later videos are still not a repair or multi-year durability study. HONOR has no official US or Canadian store for it, so buyers there rely on shops that import the global version.

Evidence summary
Recurring strengths and trade-offs
GSMArena, The Tech Chap and SuperSaf say capacity changes by market. GSMArena describes a European unit as 6,270 mAh and a Chinese version as 7,200 mAh. The Tech Chap adds 7,100 mAh for other markets. SuperSaf's two-month review says the global unit he tested is 7,100 mAh. A four-month review and a six-month review are also on this page. They do not replace those figures with a repair or multi-year durability verdict.
GSMArena, Android Authority and TechTablets say face unlock is 3D and more secure than ordinary Android face unlock. GSMArena says an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint reader also works. That is an early-use description of the sensor, not a long-term security study.
What depends on needs and context
Mark Ellis says the 200-megapixel telephoto is strong and that shots around 10x, including night shots, still look strong. GSMArena says the 3.7x zoom photos are detailed, and that native-zoom telephoto portraits are less sharp than they would like. SuperSaf's two-month review is aimed at night telephoto, which is a different test from those launch-period notes.
Decision checks
HONOR's global specification lists 7,100 mAh typical and 100W wired charging. HONOR's Australia and New Zealand specifications also list 7,100 mAh typical. The UK specification lists 6,270 mAh typical. HONOR's global China-launch news says the Magic8 Pro has a 7,200 mAh battery, and footnote 5 says the typical capacity is 7,200 mAh. Footnote 6 says the maximum wired charging power is 120W with the included charger. The Chinese news page says the series exceeds 7,000 mAh and supports 120W wired charging. It does not state 7,200 mAh typical. Match the battery figure to the country you are buying in. The frame is described as metal, and the alloy is not named. Reviewers have not independently verified multi-year durability or repair. HONOR has no US or Canadian store for this model. The shops listed here for the US and Canada sell the imported global version.

HONOR's global specification lists 12 GB with 512 GB, and 16 GB with 1 TB. The UK specification lists only 12 GB with 512 GB.
HONOR's global China-launch news says pre-order in China starts on 15 October 2025. That page does not give 23 October. The Chinese news page says the series went on sale on 23 October 2025. The UK launch news is dated 8 January 2026. Later reviews, including two-month, four-month and six-month videos, describe use after that launch. They are not a worldwide on-sale date.
